Details
BBC Radio 2's Folk Singer of the Year and serial award winner Nancy Kerr will be releasing her new album, "Instar", at the end of July. She goes from strength to strength as a songwriter, singer, and performer. She is joined on stage by Greg Russell (Ciaran Algar & Greg Russell), Tom Wright (Albion Band, Park Bench Social Club, Eliza Carthy), Tim Yates (Blackbeard’s Tea Party, Albion Band) and Rowan Rheingans (Lady Maisery). Already celebrated for her interpretations of traditional song, Nancy turns the focus to her own narrative compositions about love and conflict, motherhood, migration, hardship and jubilation, and the tensions between rural and urban life.
