After winning 2010’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and playing BBC Introducing stages at both Reading and Leeds Festivals, the Leeds based quintet Ellen and the Escapades have gone from strength to strength. Reactions to the release of their highly anticipated debut album ‘All The Crooked Scenes’ have been overwhelmingly positive, and their recent headline tour has seen them playing to encore demanding packed crowds throughout. The Communion backed London show prompted For Folk Sake to comment that whilst the album is: ‘something to be proud of…it’s live where the band are truly at their dazzling best’.
