The Kirkland Turn are fronted by husband and wife duo Daryl and Katie and supported by the angelic harmonies of Ash Francis and Chris Dezelu on Bass. Daryl�s rich and emotive voice and chiming guitar echoes the best of 60�s British Pop but the Kirkland�s also have a unique drummer in Katie. Nothing about her drumming is conventional; She can do subtle but when in full flight drives the songs along like a juggernaut, her sticks flying so fast it appears someone�s turned on a strobe. The Kirkland�s combination of lyrics and melody owes a lot to stage and film music, not the product-placement commercial pap of today�s soundtracks, but that era of scores and songs that added to the story or bridged or moved it on � every one of their songs is crying out for a movie of its own.
