Details
Helen McCookerybook was bass player/singer with The Chefs and guitarist/singer with Helen and the Horns in the 1980s, both of which were favourites of BBC Radio 1’s John Peel. After a 20 year break to raise a family, she returned to the stage as a solo artist with a new set of songs ten years ago, and since then has toured the UK regularly, releasing three solo albums and two with former partner Martin Stephenson. She has just completed a new album and will be touring the UK this summer, playing festivals and small gigs.
